The growth of the group has always gone hand in hand with a growing social commitment. Here are some of the initiatives we have supported in recent years.
As we grow, so does our social commitment to the local area
Over the years, we have done a great deal to support the area where it all started. We have grown together and will continue to do so.
Those in business work not only for the benefit of their company, but for the whole area and for an entire community. Ours is the province of Macerata, central Italy. It is here that the ICA Group was founded and has developed.
As we have grown, so has our commitment to local initiatives (and beyond) ranging from promotion of health and inclusion to collaboration with cultural and sporting associations.
We are passionate supporters of the AIRC foundation for cancer research, the ANFFAS association that safeguards and supports families with disabilities, the Marche division of the Italian Cystic Fibrosis Association (LIFC), and the Guaranteed Mobility Project (PMG) of Civitanova Marche.
We have also supported bodies and associations that organize sporting events, such as the Anthropos association for paralympic athletes, the ASD Sordi Citanò deaf sports organization, the Stracivitanova half marathon and the Lube Volley professional men’s volleyball team.
We donate our products for educational projects with schools and parish organizations. We welcome students to our site and work regularly with universities for educational projects and research, through the ICA Academy.
We have invested in urban redevelopment works in our town. For example, we have worked with an artist based in Civitanova Marche for the “Vedo a colori” (color vision) project for regeneration of the port area through street art, convinced that culture and art must be an integral part of a business’s activities. Another example is our Bugs Hotel initiative to provide the general public with a “sustainability space” to raise awareness—primarily amongst children and teenagers—of the importance of protecting local resources and preserving nature’s delicate balance.
One of the initiatives we were most closely involved in was in 2016, when we offered support to local populations affected by the earthquake and donated € 100,000 to the town of Fiastra. Then, in 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, we produced and supplied the municipality of Civitanova Marche with sanitizing gel and spray, which were distributed to the Italian Green Cross association, police and health structures.
This commitment is a source of great pride for us and we will continue to grow together with our local area, with the goal of building a better and more sustainable future for all.
